Who'sThe Boss?
Some people are entrepreneurs, and some do not know they have it in them. The average American professional`s state of mind is to graduate college with a degree to land a well paying job, while there are others pursuing their education in a field of their passion. Why are you working a job and not being your own boss? The most common answer is to pay bills and support your family.
Some employees are not pursuing what they want in life and are not satisfied with working. Aspiring entrepreneurs have a job to maintain until they can accomplish their goal. They would like to step out on faith and focus on their profession, but they need revenue to survive. There are some that have resigned and followed their dream, or never worked for anyone, and are successful today.
It has been said, “don't quit your day job,” but what happens when your day job quits you?” The company terminates your employment without a moment`s notice and no regards to your livelihood. Those who are workers have become accustomed to a consistent income and a sense of security. They may know how to respond or not. Some people may panic or depend on finding another job, while others will seize the opportunity to pursue their dream full time.
Some people have adopted the ”worker mentality” that they're afraid to explore being their own boss, or merely never gave it thought. The pursuit of an entrepreneur is achievable, and requires a vision, faith, perseverance, and sacrifice. If you build your own empire, you are worth more money than your employer can pay you.
Finances may be slow in the beginning and building stages, and this deters many from becoming entrepreneurs. Once your business grows and become established, there is no limit to how much you can earn because you are your own boss and not subject to a set job pay rate. You have freedom, set your own hours, delegate your projects pursuing something you are passionate about, and vacation days do not need manager approval, are just a few benefits of the entrepreneur life.
You can secure your future by working for yourself, instead of being at the disposal of those who make the decisions. If you have questioned why, then ask yourself, “why not?”
