How To Be A Successful Entrepreneur: Part 1-Intro

In my experience as a speaker and published author, a true entrepreneur is one who is committed to their vision and works smart and strategic toward building an empire. They accept the territory and take on all challenges.

Whether an entrepreneur is already established in his business, or one that is still building it, successful entrepreneurs live by the same creed. They are driven, focused, determined and more than dreamers. They are doers who put their dream into action.

I was cultivating my vision while working in Corporate America. After losing my job with over ten years of service, it liberated me to pursue my vision full-time. Someone told me during this transition, “If you are serious about this entrepreneur stuff, you have to bust your ass twenty-four, seven!” The essence of matter is not on how much time you invest, it’s about quality concrete work ethic, continuity, and setting attainable benchmarks to achieve desired results.

The work schedule depends on projects at hand and new opportunities that occur any moment. It is not easy and it requires commitment, focus, and attention. Entrepreneurs take time off work to refresh and maintain a productive balance. They’re minds are working even when they are not manually working. When I’m on downtime, I still have ideas and think about my career.

I was asked in a radio interview if I have more stress trying to succeed as an entrepreneur than I did working a job. There can be some stressful moments, but it is the kind I’d rather have from building my own empire than working for someone else. You may have a financial bind in the beginning, but it is a sacrifice to make your business and money work for you long term. Meanwhile, you can find ways to support your income while getting established.

There is no limit to the how much money you can earn. Entrepreneurs create businesses and products so they are not always working, but always generating revenue to remain in business. While I was employed on a company salary, I knew I was worth more than any job could pay me. If one job is anyone's sole means of income, that person stopz making money when they sign off the clock.

Agreed. Being an entrepreneur is a 24/7 job. Starting my own business gave me a whole new respect for bigger corporations.
