Will Chicago Bears Win NFC North?
In assessing the Chicago Bears (3-1) progress through four weeks of football, they are in great shape going into week five to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3). Chicago Bears are coming off a superb performance in a Monday Night Showdown in Dallas with a dominant victory over the Cowboys.
The Bears are favored for their next meeting with the Jaguars, and should advance to a 4-1 record leading into their bye week after this Sunday, but lets not forget the good ol' given football saying, "Any Given Sunday."
Its early to predict the direction of any of the 32 teams, but Chicago can be the team of the NFC North. There is still room for improvement for this team and with the appropriate work in some areas, they can win their division. With everyone healthy, they will need more production in the running game, continue to protect Jay Cutler, and utilize more options on the receiver corps. Brandon Marshall is the main guy, but not your only guy. Their defense is solid, leading the NFL in takeaways with 14 for the season
Quick Look Ahead of the Season
Weeks 10 through 12 will be a critical test for the Bears, starting with week ten hosting the Houston Texans, a trip to meet the 49ers, then returning home for a match against the Minnesota Vikings, who currently leads the NFC North division Based on NFL action through week 4, the 49ers appear to be the greatest overall NFC threat to the Bears, besides Chicago's long time rival, Green Bay Packers.
