I Was 12 Years Old Watching Jim Harbaugh QB for My Home Team Bears, Never Thought I'd See This

I was twelve years old watching Jim Harbaugh quarterback for my home team, Chicago Bears. I never imagined he’d be head coach of the San Francisco 49ers nearly two decades later. It is more interesting that he makes history in Super Bowl XLVII competing against his brother, John Harbaugh, head coach, Baltimore Ravens. This will be the first time two brother head coaches compete in the Super Bowl.

It is a great accomplishment for Jim to reach the Super Bowl after his second year with the team, following an NFC championship appearance his first season.  I grew up watching football with my family and I was a fan of Harbaugh when rooting for Bears games. Speaking of, I was five years old when the Bears won the Super Bowl, Chicago needs to bring another one home. Jim’s style and character is cool, easy going and he seems to be a likeable, fun coach to play for. Take a look at how cool he comes off in the VISA commercial. One of my favorite NFL commercials BTW.

“Who are we??!!"

“49ers!”

 "Yeeeaah!!!"

I like how Harbaugh comes into the locker room and says, “What the heck is going on in here?”

The 49ers have never been defeated in a Super Bowl game. They are 5-0. Harbaugh and his 9ers have the making of a Super Bowl team that shows even in a commercial. It is almost a “sign” as the year of the 49ers.

I am excited for SB XLVII! I will release my Super Bowl picks soon. Follow @nategrayzone
