Rose, Bulls Look to Bounce Back in Home Opener vs Knicks after Season Opener Loss
@nategrayzone
Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls (0-1) were unsuccessful
in their season opener at Miami Heat. The much anticipated Rose return was
spoiled as he only produced 12 points on 4 of 15 shooting from the field and 1
of 7 at the three point line. He was stripped of the ball early in the game on
the Bulls first possession that led into the first score of the game with a
dunk by Miami’s own, Udonis Haslem.
Chicago led early 11-2 before Miami went on a rampage to
dominate the Bulls and take the lead by over 20 points for more than half of the
game. Chicago was led by Carlos Boozer pouring in 31 points. Jimmy Butler
chipped in 20 points, while Taj and Mohammed also combined for 20, with 10 a
piece.
Perhaps the Bulls can use another star shooting guard and
another big man threat at power forward? They do not have the size and
superstar power to match with the champion Heat, but the hope and good news for
CHI is this was their first game of the season, and they also outscored Miami
in the second half.
The Bulls got off to a slow start and their superstar point
guard, Derrick Rose will need at least 10 games or better to readjust after
returning from an ACL injury. He will play tonight despite a sore neck, sources
report. They will be better prepared for the Heat when they host them in
Chicago on December 5th
Miami Heat also lost
following their Bulls win versus Philadelphia 76ers, (114-110).
The Bulls are looking for better luck and to bounce back in
the home opener versus New York Knicks (1-0).
