New York Giants Can Still Make Playoffs And Potentially Finish 9-7, or 8-8

@nategrayzone

New York Giants can potentially finish 9-7 and still earn a trip to the playoffs. They are currently on a 4 game winning streak after defeating Green Bay Packers today and starting their season O-6.

Looking at their upcoming schedule, they should win the next three straight, but the December 15 match with the Seattle Seahawks may be tough. That can be a potential loss for the Giants, as the Seahawks are flying high and currently lead the entire NFC with a 10-1 record. Following the Giants match at home with the Seahawks, they will travel to Ford Field to meet the Lions three days before Christmas. Detroit Lions are a hot NFC team who heads the NFC North. Detroit poses a challenge for NYG, but the Giants may be able to handle.

Philadelphia Eagles seems to be the team that will finish atop the NFC East, while the Dallas Cowboys are 5-5. NYG will also face the Cowboys for the second time this season on December 9th. Dallas won the first meeting in week 1, 36-31. That was the start of the Giants winless 2013 season before snapping their losing streak.

NYG will be running neck and neck with Dallas Cowboys fighting for a playoff spot.

Can the New York Giants do it? Yes. Have the Giants done it before? Certainly! Even with a loss to the Detroit Lions in the week 16 bout aforementioned, according to my predictions that will give the Giants an 8-8 record. Depending upon how the Cowboys finish if the Giants have an 8-8 record, NYG can make it to the playoffs.

If Coach Tom Coughlin and his Giants return to the postseason this year, don’t sleep on Eli Manning and faculty. They can be a very dangerous team. They seem to wake up and bring out the “Giant” in them around this time of season.
