Tribute to Dr Myles Munroe
When I met the late
Dr. Myles Munroe at a TWEF conference in Houston, Texas (August
2011), I witnessed the impact he had on lives, especially when I met
people who were there that let me know they were members of his
church in the Bahamas and came to support him in this particular
event.
I remembered him
delivering a speech about crisis being an opportunity. He empowered
anyone who was facing obstacles to work those challenges in their
favor.
His passing added a
different impact on my perspective of life. It added a deeper sense
of humility and wanting to accomplish tasks. I clearly seen the
reality of human vulnerability and how life is not promised or
guaranteed.
It made me feel that
if you have any projects you are working on, dreams, or aspirations,
not to put them on hold. You can feel good about what is ahead, but
no one knows the future.
It reminds me no
matter how much you have accomplished or have yet to accomplish, stay
working , moving, and getting things done! I am propelled to
capitalize in each day and opportunity that I have as a man, husband,
and professional.
When I talked to my
mentor Dwight Pledger about how I remember what Myles Munroe was
teaching and he said, “the blessing is that you were able to sit
under and receive from such a gifted teacher.” He also said it was
priceless!
