You Have A Purpose in Life: Author Nate Gray Spoke on Easter Sunday with Pastor Jedidiah Brown

My beautiful wife, Niesha and I enjoyed fellowship with pastor Jedidiah Brown, prophetess Ottoweiss Campbell, and the Chosen Generation congregation in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago on Easter Sunday.

The energy in the building was electrifying as Jedidiah preached a powerful sermon! He dropped lots of good nuggets but a point that really stuck with me is when he spoke along the lines of, "if you see someone doing good, why are you hating on him instead of saying, I need to come and get some of what he got."

Prior to introducing the congregation to me and bringing me to the pulpit, He also stated, "Y'all know I don't bring someone in the church just to say I have someone here today. I felt led to do it."

We both shared brief stories and how we met. The purpose of our meeting was real and heartfelt. The pastor also joked about how Taye Diggs, his "twin" recently called him on the phone and people thinks he looks like him.

Thanks to Jedidiah Brown for having me as guest speaker to share A Winning Perspective with the congregation. I shared a message of defining your purpose in life with 3 tips to help you pursue your purpose.

1. Identify your passion
2. Identify your skills
3. Be honest with yourself and know who you are

In that final tip, I shared a story of how I am reminded of my purpose when I thought my life was over when I got mauled by a police dog in Chicago over ten years ago while officers were on me with their pistols out. I thought the dog or the police were going to take me out with their guns, but I am still here today. I know I have a purpose in life.
