Nate Gray: A Winning Perspective on Mel Roberson Appearing on Empire Tonight

I met Mel Roberson some years ago at a Legal Shield meeting that I was invited to from a former coworker. Years later, fast forward to 2016, I see Mel is still doing his thing with Legal Shield, writing best sellers, acting, and tonight, he is appearing in the FOX TV series, Empire. I also found out that Dave Roberson, a fellow Dolphin I graduated Whitney Young High School with, who is also successful in his industry in the financial business, is Mel’s younger brother. It’s a small world, huh!?

Before Empire aired at 8pm CT tonight, I joined a conference call with Mel Roberson to listen to him share his story about how Legal Shield has allowed him some opportunities and extra time to pursue his passion.

Mel shared some great things on the call, but he said one main thing that stood out to me and I said, “That’s A Winning Perspective.” A part of my message, A Winning Perspective (new book coming soon) is about finding your purpose, and having a positive mindset to overcome adversity, learn from life lessons to turn adversity into opportunities, and live your dreams. Life is about your perception and how you choose to respond to your challenges.

Mel Roberson said, “I cant teach a system , I can’t say hey, here is what can make you successful. When I joined Legal Shield, the system was already in place with successful people that I learned from.”

He also admitted that when he first started with the company, he thought it was just another “one of those things.” He brought a different perspective on what the company is about and the type of people that are apart of it. They range from stock brokers, to real estate investors, all kinds of professions. Mel was able to use all that Legal Shield has to offer and leverage his career in a way he couldn’t even imagine.

Congrats Mel on your endeavors! I wish you well. My wife and I will be watching Empire tonight, as always. Sidenote, barbershop scenes go a long way. :-) People like Cuba Gooding Jr was getting his hair cut at the MY-T Sharp in Coming to America.
